The role of the Tourism Advisory Committee is to offer input for programming and project planning; working with local attractions and hospitality partners to market Owatonna to conventions/meetings/tournaments and other events; develop the area as an appealing destination or pass-through location to area visitors. |

Ongoing Strategies
- Develop and implement tourism marketing strategies that attract visitor dollars to Owatonna
- Evaluate programs/projects/events to continually enhance their effectiveness
- Foster local /regional/state alliances
- Target and foster growth in new or developing markets.
- Continue to optimize, upgrade and promote tourism on the OACCT website.
Participation:
If you would like to serve on the Tourism Advisory Committee, please contact the tourism office. Meetings are held on the third Wed of each month, 1-3 pm in the lower level of the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce offices. Meetings are open to the public. Anyone interested in Owatonna’s visitor industry is encouraged to attend.
